Can i drill my blackouts on?

ok, any of you that have had or seen the blackouts on firebirds know 2 things. One, they look bad a$$. And two, they dont stay on for s***, and the double sided tape is in the way of the lenses so when you hit the lights, ten black strips magically appear. (eck!) Has anyone drilled them on? Does it work, what length screws? Thanks men.

mine have fallen off twice, thats 40 bux i wasted. the rear ones have stayed on just fine tho. if you want to drill into your bumper cover, be my guest, but in my opinion i would not do it just cuz i dont want unnecassary holes in it.

I do have a pic, but God help me if i know how to put it on. Trust me, blackouts on Firebirds look SWWWEEEETTTT!!! They come in 3 pieces, two for the lights and one in the center piece for the trunk key hole. They look absolutely amazing. If only i can get the f***** things to stay on. By the way, Summit has them. Get the GTS ones.

I don't know about the firebirds, but for the Camaro guys try the Lund brand blackouts. My other blackouts kept falling off, then I found the Lund ones at carparts.com and I haven't had a problem with them at all. They look better and are harder to steal. They actually wrap partially around the taillight.

Was i right about having them easily stolen though? Dont they just snap out or only stick with velcro or something?

Im going to get the blackout spray that you just spray onto your original taillights...no chance of getting that stolen lol...and they look ****ing great, i saw a picture of them...but does anyone know if blackouts are illegal in california? Also does it depend on what county youre in?
