Your cold air feed looks good. You should consider making a box/cube our of aluminum or fiberglass to seal it off from engine heat and make it fully functional.

Jeremy,
That looks pretty kewl.....do you notice any power gains though? Do you have to adjust your fuel regulator to accomdate for the influx of air?

Did you make the kit yourself or can you buy it from somewhere?

Thanks

well no actually i went to home depo and bought the biggest electrical box i could get, used a dremel tool to shave some things off took some tin made a funnel bolted it to box, painted it black and cut off any bolts that were sticking out, im sure i could have made a better one , but im putting trans effects on soon so i probally will redo it, and make the scoop alittle bigger,as you can see from the pic i have one bolt shown that looks kinda dumb just i havent had time to cut it off, so anyhow i took some 8 inch duct and ran it up to my old air box, removed of coarse) then took a speed denstiy k and n and hooked it up, if i had the time and garage and tools im sure i could do a better job, but as far as diffrence absoulty throttle reponse is the biggest thing that ya notice, when i get my ram air 2 hood i probally do away with the whole setup and just get air through the hood,

I could be wrong, but I that looks like a filter for a 3000GT.

K&N makes a 6x3.5(?) diameter filter with a flexible mouth that a few people have used with PVC piping to make cold air feeds for their Firebirds, flyin89fta(?) did this.

I have an 88 iroc so I took the air duct and ran it from behind my lights and cut out my air box things cut a hole in the oil cooler vent and ran it right to my K&N's.
