1. Well for one you can't see the motor through the hood.

2. Yes the back is open. 2 holes that have a screen covering.

3. The underside of this hood is perfect.....looks show quality.

If your looking for a cowl hood your not gonna find one that fits the car like this one does. We bolted it right up. Its sooo smooth and flows with the lines perfectly.

Lets put it this way, if the car come factory with a cowl hood this would have been it.

the hood is too much bling, i know you liek to go fast , but with the 400 bucks couldnt you spend that on more go fast goodies?

not sure i have ever heard of a cowl hood described as *bling* before, LOL

probably could find more stuff to make it go fast, but this will actually help the go fast AND the look good departements.

every 1* in temperature drop let into the intake, there is a certain percentage of hp gained. i can't remember the specifics, but with putting a cowl induction hood on the car, i figured it to be close to 17rwhp that i should gain. i will also drop at least 50lbs off the front of the car, that's good for 5hundreths drop in ET. granted, those hp gains are with an air box that will seal the carb to the hood. this motor will not see much more "goodies" as i have already gotten it pretty much optimized. the trans needs a bit of work however. and the torque converter for it came in the mail today from ATI Performance. the trans should see a performance rebuild later. but i want to get the car looking better first, so that the ladies will dig it when i point the car out to them. so the hood and paint are next. then the red-gray interior color swap, then the trans, then the rearend, then the new motor will start being built. already collecting parts for that one!
