Champion Fiberglass hoods

check them out, cheap. anyone know anything about them and have a hood on there car? quality? $100 cheaper then any other company i have seen. let me know what you think of this hood:

Axle/Gears: 4.10 gears
you get what you pay for , and fiberglass on a car isnt a place where id skimp, iirc i dont think anyone has one of those hoods, but hopefuly someone can chime in .

i think it looks like a good deal.


but you do get what you pay for and $300 isnt too cheap.

It's a bolt on and has a finished underside, sounds like a good deal as long as the fit is decent.

if i don't hear back from them, i will call them and see about quality. looking at their pictures of their customer cars, it looks like a good deal, but they don't have any thirdgens in their customer cars. that's what i emailed them about.

i don't know man, those RAII hoods are frickin' expensive, and i heard that most of them fit like crap (esp. around the headlight area).

One way or the other all fiberglass is a pain! No matter how good it is it will require a lot of filling and sanding to get it to look as smooth as steel. Joe and I put in tons of hours on mine. then John went back and worked on it some more. It still needs work though. It was one of the best hood I have seen in fiberglass to start with! Remember the hood at $300 might be cheaper, but there might be more prep time at a body shop required to get it straight!
