Weird door idea (no door!)

I got an 89 t tops. A friend of mine at work came up with an idea to weld the doors shut, which will create a smooth body line, then I can wire up my aftermarket power lock remote to the windows. so i roll down my windows from the outside, pull out the t tops, and jump in! I still think this is kinda dangerous, considering if I get in a wreck Ill have to crawl out the window or kick on of em out. Granted I think his only approach would be to create a smooth looking body line, but I dont think form vs function would follow to much. What do you guys think?

You should paint it Vitamin C orange with an 01 on the side, and confederate flag on the roof

Nope. He has t-tops, no room for the flag!

This would solve the sagging door/worn out hinge pin problems...

OMG, that wud be funny as hell though! i might do it just for that reason! It wud kinda suck though to get out around town like that, but I just dont know if the good lookin body lines wud make up for having to jump out the top like a damn nascar driver everywhere I go.

Has anybody ever thought about
Making a half door for a camaro
Like one that comes from the back where the door latch is
and goes about half way then curves and goes down

It'd be unique but not very practical.

I say do it.

How would someone or something get in the back seat even tough the majority seems to not use it.

Don't get me wrong the idea is good IMO

Just gotta keep the molding on the door or else it's too blank for me. It just does break it up nicely

You can do away with the door handle and key hole.
