fun with CAD!!!!!

was bored the other day and made me up some rims. I like the 91-92 z wheels so that is what they are based off of, made them a two piece so I could get a big lip like on the firehawk rims. plus with some tweaking I could possibly have some one off rims made. this is just a first version. will change them a bit and be curious to get some opinions on each version. these are 18"x9".

I think that would be an awesome wheel.

version 2.0, j/k added more angle to the side of spokes and just the one stripe down the center. what do you think? better or worse? any ideas on what might look good as a subtle touch?

I am using solid works 2003, iowa state university's favorite program. as for keeping the original center cap, I really would like to as well but then the wheels would have to a cast like the originals which would be hard to then have produced. with the two piece design, I can have them cut a stock billet aluminum slug to match my drawings drawings. then they can just drop the wheel center in a standard wheel hoop of my choice and *bam* instant custom wheel. think I need to work on the center of the design a bit more.

Some bigger 91-92 Z style wheels would be awesome.

prob. true but that isn't saying much as there are a few cars here that are under $1500 bucks in value. I really am not concerned with resale here. it is about the love of the car and the right look, not money. besides when I do decide on a final design I will have a car built to my tastes and likes until the day I die. and I will have this car forever as it is my dream car. viva la third gen

well you could just get some Ronal wheels and take them to the machine shop and get the two slits per spoke put in them. They would most likely be cheaper then complete on off's.
Those do look Really good.
