GTA's finally finished

After about eleventy billion hours of sanding/polishing they are done. I didn't want a mirror finish on the lip, but a nice shiney polished aluminum look. That's what I got. Can't wait to have them mounted/balanced tomorrow!

Wow those look awesome. That's exactly what I want to do to mine. What was the process? Wouldn't you want Z28 emblems on the caps? Just a thought considering what your car is.

They look great, just make sure they put the weights on the inside of the wheel

Are you using bird' centercaps on your Camaro?

Thanks guys

Process:

1. used aircraft remover to remove most of the clear coat. Took about 95% of it off.
2. Jacked up car and bolted one gta on, started up car and put it in reverse
3. 220 grit, 320wet, 800wet, 1500wet
4. Mothers aluminum polish
5. mask and paint.
6. repeat 3 more times.

I'm going to use the bird caps for now until I get some camaro caps. Anyone know where I can get some? Can I just replace the bird "sticker", or do I need to replace the entire cap?

You guys are giving me cabin fever

Everything is so nice and living and green and warm looking in your pics. Everything here is grey, white, and dead. And it's still pretty cold. I bet it's in the 80's in Texas...

Anyways, great job on the rims. Have any side profile shots of it with the new wheels?

I know everywhere has there ups and downs, but what I need to find is somewhere where it is 72 deg year round. I'll even settle for a climate controlled pole barn if you have one for me

Those rims look pretty good on there phyte. I think a 1-1.5" drop would look great on there.

I am over in Blockhouse! I was driving my 03 Excursion, so you would not have noticed me over there.

Maybe next weekend we can meet up with some of the other local thirdgen folks. I am sure you already know one or two of them!

Well move to alabama, Buy a large warehouse, Put in a very efficient air and heating system, then work on your car all you want.
....................but you will still have to leave and go to work.......so youre screwed all around

Actually man I don't know any. I'm sooo busy with work I don't have a lot of time to meet up with other folks with the same interests. I'm a partner at a large hosting company here in Austin(since Jan 1st) so things have been crazy for me. I'd definitely like to check out your bird sometime though!!

those rims look excellent, i think they are by far the best stock rims to get off all the choices.
