I bought a camaro with 16" wheels that supposedly came off a formula. Can anyone tell me what year car they came from the factory with?

They have a convex dome (the center of the wheel is the furthes point outboard on the wheel). I don't think i've ever seen these on the street so i was wanting to see if they are, in fact, factory formula wheels. they say pontiac on them and look like what came on sunbirds and fieros and stuff but they're 16" wheels

You say they are concave? Sounds like the standard 88-92 Formula wheels. The 87 Formula wheels look similar but are flat, and look like larger versions of the wheels put on other Pontiac cars.

sounds like a stock Aero wheel that came with the '85 and 86 Trans am's.

Those wheels came on 85-86 Trans ams , and they came on 87 formula's and some 88 formula's 88-92 formula wheels are the concave wheels ,

 

they are like the second picture. im a little confused. now that we've positively ID'd them does everyone still agree on what they've said?

MrJ is right, the wheel that you identified(the 2nd one) is off of an 87 formula. From 88-92 they were not flat like that is, they angle in instead, I think that the 88-92 ones are much nicer
