nver heard of a 275/45/17 I think you will have to get a 275/40. It will look better too.

Hey sorry to sway from the topic a little, but I know Snyper's are always considered one of the best looking wheels for a good price on a third gen, but at about $1000 a set from what I've found, what's stopping me from going to Summit, getting chrome 18" C5 y2k or Z06 wheels for $1000 and wheel adapters for like $250?
I'm not bashing, but everyone always says they're cheap for what they are, but they don't seem all that cheap....
thanks

You can get snypers for 200 a wheel if not less. Also, the reporduction vette wheels are an expection. Most other 18" wheels are far more expensive. I wish the snypers came in 18's but I think the overall design matches the 3rd gen styling better. These cars seem to look better with a slight dish to the wheels than with the flat face of the vettes (minus Z06). Also, these wheels come with exact 3rd gen specs. Even with spacers vette/4th gen wheels sit a bit off. The main difference in price comes when you buy tires. Wheel prices never cost you that much when compaired to quality tires. By the time you get some decent rubber on those 18"s your wallet will be much lighter than if you went with some 17's. I think 18's look much better on these cars but by the time you get them on your car you almost always pay signifcantly more.
