removing stripes...
I am thinking about removing the stripes on my 87 Iroc. Why? They peeled in a spot and I need to get the nose repainted. The car only has 70k and has spent a lot of time sitting in the garage. Do you think removing the stripes is a smart move? I don't want to uncover blemishes and/or fresh looking paint. After 15 plus years, who knows what's under there. Thanks.

I would remove them and get another kit to install, IT WILL look different.....they go really easy little soap and water, just a big model kit

Thanks all! Guess that is what I'll do, especially since it looks like I will be repainting the nose this summer too. I wonder how the stripes will look with a set of silver Ronals?

If your car was black, I would say forget about the stripes.. But it being red, I think i'd put a new set on.
As long as the stripes are black and silver, the silver ronals would look sweet on your car.
