Underhood Paint and Detail
Hey Guys. I thought I would share with you the progress on my car. It is up for sale but it never hurts do some little things to make it look better. When my car was new the factory or dealership applied a rust proof coating to the bottom and got some overspray on the fender wells. This overspray looked like dirt that would never come off so I decided to do something about it. Also, I picked up a new set of coolant and washer fluid bottles from the dealership awhile ago so I figured this would be the best time to put them on. I got some sand paper, steel wool, and a can of gloss white lacquer paint and went to work. I removed everything including the battery, charcoal canister, and moved as much of the wiring, hoses, and cables out of the way. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves. I do have a little more overspray to get off of the strut tops but that wont be hard. Overall I think my effort was well worth it and now I just need to get the whole car painted!

Yeah they are faded. I am planning to get the whole car repainted in May and those will be part of it.

Looks great man. Now just mask off your radiator support and do the same thing. Thats exactly how I did my engine bay and i think it came out great (for a driver).
