Lower IS better
Pulled it out of the garage...2 times in one month! that's a record for me
Anyhow, this shows how lower the Eibach Sportlines dropped the car. But now...I can't get underneath it...guess I getter get some 2 inch pieces of wood or something so I can roll on them and then get a jack under it?
Anyone use those plastic car ramps? Wonder if I could drive up on those?

i got sportlines too...i love the look, makes the car seem more like a toy, cuz i'm 6' 6" and i can totally see over the car, and its amazing that i can actually sit in the thing...lowering springs are awesome...it definately takes some finese to get a jack under there...

PERFECT!!
I want sportlines so bad!
Maybe you should fab up some of your own rams with a >10 degree slope.

looks great! i always loved your car
btw. one of the moderator on camaroz28.com jsut started fabricating low pro steel ramps, so you can get a jack under the car. i think he wants $35 a set. its under the "parts for sale" board

The car looks great! You will have to keep a few 4x2's in your garage so that you can drive up onto them. This will allow enough space to get a jack under the front K-member and or rear pumpkin. It isn't too hard but it can be annoying if you forget. 99% of all ramps that are sold will not work with these springs. Your front nose and or GFX will hit the ramp before yoru front tires do. The 4x2 method is just much faster.
the wheels are 17" if i remember right...sportlines give you the perfect stance IMO..dropzone's are too low, and prokit isn't enough....yea it looks like that car never gets out, just sits in the garage....

As far as the ramps i coudlent even drive my stock ride height 89 onto the ramps my dad had out in the garage so i tooke some 2x6s and made liek a step out of them bottom one was around 18" then aorund 12" then like 6" all stacked up made it easy to get up onto the ramps
I woudl know she spent alot of time off the ground wit me under it haha

let me tell ya guys a little story about when i put my springs on....i had my z at school in my auto shop class and i was doing a brake job, replacing my calipers and rotors and everything up front, and my springs came in the mail while i was redoing all the brakes...well my car was up on an alignment rack, maybe you guys don't know what that is but its a big ramp, and it has air ride on the back to lift the car up so its parallel with the floor, but its pretty steep, i had to get guys to lift up on my front fenders to get on the thing, and this was at stock ride height....so since the car was up on the rack already, i was like what a perfect place to put my new springs on ya know..not even thinking about getting the car off...so we got the new springs on, and were admiring the car on the ramp because it looked so damn good.....then it was time to get it off....we had so many 2x4's stacked up and all kinds of stuff, i had a couple 2x8 that was about 20 feet long and that wasn't even working...i ended up taking a jack, jacking up on the engine cradle, and wheeling it the rest of the way off the ramp...it was a strenous job, and i encourage people to do these kind of dumb things at home...cuz they are fun to hear about!

'Maro looks good. I've got the sportlines as well. I used to drive up on 2x6's but I've discovered the pinchweld gutters that the verts have work beautifully to slid a jack under and get it high enough for the crossmember.

Looks sweet man. Heres how i jack my car up. I use the factory jack and jack the car up at the back of the fender hi enough to get my floor jack under the front then i go from there. As for the ramps theres no way in hell to go up and down them without tearing your ground effects up. I use the jack and raise the car up then i slide the ramps under the wheels. But im about to by one of the low profile racing jacks since every car at the house is lowered.

I dont really have any problem with dips are anything in the road the springs are pretty stiff and dont have much travel. Big speed bumps u have to watch out for u have a clearence issue. The last one i had to go over i drug the exhaust the hole length of the car.

looks nice man, very nice. only way i can get my car up on the ramps is using a series of 2x4's that I drove on in order to eventually make it halfway up the ramp and then i can go the rest of the way...
the ride was surprising when i first put mine on...it didn't change it hardly any from stock, i thought it was going to get a lot worse...i didn't notice a big change at least, i felt a handling difference but thats it...and as far as people who think its too low, i thought it was too low when i looked at pictures, but i got it anyways...and all the streets around here are all tore up and bumpy...you just gotta learn how to drive your car with a slow creep on some streets and you learn real quick which roads are good to go on and which aren't...mine's a daily driver too, you just have to watch yourself...

I know what you mean,I don't bring mine out but a few times a month as well. I have the Sportlines on my Formula and I have no problems driving up on the plastic ramps you asked about but I don't have a large front gound effects as your Z does.

thanks for all of the replies guys
Sounds like wood blocks get my vote, unless I can think of something different. Anyhow, mine seems to ride pretty stiff....it doesn't ride like a caddy or anything..haha. Also, my tire/wheel combo are 17X8 with P275/40/17's.

awesome! I love my Sportlines too. I have to use the 2X8 method as well. If I would have kept the TT2s our cars would be almost identical. I just need to get my SS hood painted.
