beautiful car man! looks great.

and i agree, mines a daily driver, about 5000-7000 miles a year and i drive it like its ment to be driven, but its not really close to being show quality anymore. i mean its still really nice, but not quite show worthy. its a fun car tho! just needs about another 100hp

84customZ28 - Looks great, your car has come a long way. I'm with you, I don't drive my car very often. I wasn't in a bad accident like you, but I'm super **** about my car. I bought it when I was 15 1/2 and it had ~159K unmolested miles on it, now it has ~166K. You guys can moan all you want, but it's his car, and he can do with it as he sees fit. You have to pay to play. Talk to kandied91z, he drives his car alot more than I do mine, but has the nicks/scratches fixed in his car when they occur. Do you know how hard it is, and how much it costs to fix things like that on a candy paintjob? That being said, here's a pic from when I blew the dust off my car around a month ago. Yeah, I know this pic sucks...

Rock on 84customZ28

I think of show cars as trailer queens or a car that is driven as much as 84customs is. If you drive it everyday or even once a week its almost impossible to get clean or keep clean.

thanks man and thanks to the rest of you guys and girls

I order 9.5's...the but business I ordered them from were complete idiots and told me it's impossible to put a 9.5 inch wheel under any 82-92 Camaro without spacers

Anyhow...I didn't want to keep arguing with them..so I went ahead and got 17X8's. They were ordered with the same offset so they can be rotated, which is pretty cool. With the 275/40 wheels...it fills the rim up well and almost look like a 9.5 inch wheel. Sorry, I don't know what backspacing they ordered

Lookin good Shawn! I pray for the day that I dont have to drive my 3rd gen everyday.. I'll probably end up buying one that isnt quite as nice and drive it

There are alot of people that have show or other cars that they rarely drive, just means they care more about THEIR car and keeping it clean than you do so respect their opinion their not giving you crap about driving YOUR car are they!

The car looks amazing man, one of my favorites. Black 3rd gens rule I can understand why its not driven alot. Mine is a daily driver and its a pain to keep clean, not to mention all the dumb drivers out there.

Thats true but the interior is a little easier to keep clean then the engine compartment.

Looking good 84! I really think that hood and rims completes the car!

I don't want to get off-topic, but I also have people tell me the same thing about driving my car because I drive it roughly 900-1000 miles per year.

"Cars are meant to be driven" - My response: Well good, get in yours and drive it.

"If I had that car i'd drive it more" : Good go buy a IROC and drive it a lot.

I don't mind peoples comments, but some of my friends seriously do not shut up about it and it gets real old real fast. I mean they say stuff like that everytime I see them. I totally see where your coming from.

Oh yea, nothing is better when I spend 4 hours detailing my car, then take it to a friends house, and have certain people put their greasy hand prints all over it. Why do you have to touch? To top it off I look over and someone is leaning on my car with jeans and a belt on. And they wonder why I never take it over there...

I drive my IROC-Z similarly to IROCThe5.7 but maybe a little more, you just gotta adjust how far you drive. It usually only comes out on the nicest days if it's not for a cruise night/car show. It's always garaged and covered but people don't really say anything to me because when it's nice out they know they'll probably see it. It's cool having a nice car that only comes out sometimes, I have the RS for whenever. (which gets covered too)

Well I also won "best Engine" after a drive Friday night from Atlanta GA to Bristol TN for a weekend Show.... That is the 2nd time I won for my engine! Yes the car was being driven everyday to and from work even the day before both shows! And the car was driven to the show! My car has only been on a trialer once! That was 2002 to the TA nats. It had only been out of the paint booth for 12 hours and the paint was too soft to chance driving it, plus the car was still in pieces! Had to finish the assembly at the show. Won my class that year as well!

Thats how mine will become...still driven, but only for the nice weather...still it will get out a few times a week. I love to drive it too much not to tool around with it a bit.

For the longest I was going after 3 different f0bodys to buy and drive...just could not get the cars and a decent price for what they were!

But utimately that is what I want another 3rd gen full time driver! I just cna;t get it out of my blood.

Sick ride man, needless to say but i've always gawked at it. Something that catches my attention (oddly enough), the stop sign. Either that is in a historical district, or on thats a dukes of hazzard proving ground and other side of that hill I should expect to see Boss hoss camping behind a bill board.
