pretty sure there is only one company that makes the ss hood, ASCD. any place that sells an ss hood is just selling ASCD's hood. so what has been said about an ss hood will be true for yours. mine fit pretty well. needed a bit of sanding to get it nice and straight like a steel hood but not real bad. had to trim back of hood so the windsheild wipers could work properly

Rex, when I bought my ASCD Ram Arir 1 hood about two years ago, they grills on it were just wire mesh that seemed to be made into the hood itself. Was it supposed to come with some kind of black grill inserts?
Thanks!
Thanks!

In your T/A hood we used to use the fatory 97 model WS6 hood grills but the prices for them got out of hand. I have injection molds for the SS style hood. Both the 96-97 year models and the 98-02 models. Rex

Mine fit good...You will just have to install it and see what needs to be adjusted. Unless its defective you shouldnt have any problems.
I like mine..Just wish it had some paint.

We always keep a 10% off our web site prices for the members of thiirdgen.org . I have a sticky about that in the apperance section. I think we are about 8 to 10 hoods back orderd right now so you would need to check with my office about delivery time. Thanks Rex

I just had my ss hood painted and have been trying to make it fit all day. I bolted it up when I first got it and it seemed to fit good.
But when I put it on today it was hiting my Hotchkis STB on the drivers side and the grill won't stay in at all. There are also a lot of dimples in it along the sides and one on top of the scoop. It also seems like the brackets for the hood latch, locking bar and spring are all 3/4 of an inch to far to the left, because when you try to close it they don't line up. I have even got the dremel out to the locking bar brackets to slide it over more. I also had to dremel the driverside rear hood hing so it I could get the bolt in there. I am not verry happy with things so far. I will be giving ASC a call to see what they say about it.

my hood fit fine...had it on in about 20 minutes. I have yet to see anyone with a strut tower brace with the SS hood that fits good. I've tryed several...but the hood barely shuts. You might have to do some modifications to make the STB fit with the SS hood.

If i couldnt get it to fit, I would have given up the hood, before i gave up the brace lol.

same here. I am not going to ditch the STB. If I could get the hood to close without it on, then I would just notch the hood. But it is not fiting when the I took the STB off eather.
Has anyone had problems with the holes for the latching stuff being to far to the passinger side?
