There's Gotta Be A Better Way!

i got some used rims off a buddy of mine, and they have been sittin for like a year and a half, so they are pretty cloudy...no scratches or anything, they just lost there shine...so i talked to a friend of mine, he said just go get one of those little tubs of mother's mag and aluminum polish....i got that, did 2 spokes, and i'm about to kill my self...they came out pretty damn shiney, but i got half a rim to go plus 3 more full rims!!! i did a search, and just found a bunch of stuff saying you had to wet sand it and whatnot...i'm not gonna do that, cuz I feel they don't need to be wetsanded, and I'm not going for a perfect rim when i get done...good enough is all i'm looking for....i tryed searching on like buffing and stuff, and found a few things, wasn't really what I was looking for...what exactly should I do know? I couldn't find any info on which buffying compound to use or anythign like that, and what kind of buffer do I use? i have a big 10" milwaukee buffer, or should I buy one of those little buffing ***** you see on TV that hook up to a drill....I guess the 2 main questions is what do I use to buff the wheels with, and which compound do I use...
