I think it depends what kind of shape the body and interior are in. If they are in good shape you could probably get what you're asking. However, I think you might be a little on the high side so you might have to wait for the right person to come along.

 

i'd give you 5000 if you had about 100,000 miles on it and it was loaded down with everthing(and i mean everthing) maybe 6000 if i was in the right mood, but not 8000.......

I wouldn't count on 8 grand unless this thing is like showroom condition. There was an 88 IROC l98 here a couple weeks ago with 13000 miles on it, and it only sold for 8500. I'd say you'd be making out well at 5000.

I think 5000-5500 sounds good. Its gonna be hard to sell that without a new engine or tranny in it for 8000. Sounds like a nice car though. I'd Like to see some pics.

If the miles are under 100k and interior is ok it can go for about 6. Cause the first IROC I wanted was from a dealer and the car was almost perfect even though it was stock. The guy said the owner almost never used it but kept it clean. It was red with 350 perfect interior and the engine compartment was damn new with under 30k miles and it was selling for $6500 and some guy beat me to it. THE BASTARD!

 

I don't think anyone but hardcore enthusiasts or thirdgen lovers are gonna pay that for one, and you don't sound like you can wait around long enough for one to come by. I know how it is. I've already put way more into my car than I could ever get out of it, so hopefully one day I won't get so desperate I'd take a loss like that.

$6k is pretty much the upper limit for our cars, not saying they haven't sold for more.

 

everything bout this car is basically excellent, the paint is near mirror perfect, the interior is perfect.. the car has never seen rain and at 80,000 it did have a a rebuild by the previous owner with new heads the tranny is basically new rebuilt with all up dates shift kit vette servo yada yada.. the tires are new with two sets of them and rims, so maybe i will drop the price down a bit.. so if anyone knows of someone have them make me an offer thanks for all the input guys..

I spent over a year looking for my car: Jet black, T Tops, and the 5 speed, and in very good shape. These were all must haves. I was looking for either an iroc, gta, or stang 5.0 (<- lol). Anyway, right around a year, i called an ad for a black 305 iroc. I called and it had it all. He was asking $5500, and I got it for $5000. But The car was for sale for around a year he said, so i probably could have got more off.

 

Not to burst anyones bubbles, I got my 89 GTA for 6500 CAN$ with 90K KM on it. Course it is far from mint with a few owners not knowing how to drive and having minor accidents but everything else on the car is in awesome chape including the interior, Guess I got lucky but for yours I would say high 6 low 7 would be tops.
