My car bit me!!!!

Went out to get under the hood to adjust AFPR (48psi by the way) and she bit me!!!!!

I have been under that hood a kajillion times with the motor running and the worse I have had done was header burns. I was blippin the throttle and I drew my hand back to low off the plenuym...RIGHT INTO THE DAMN ALTERNATOR!!!!!! Blades got me good!!!

Lesson learned....Never think you are comfortable!!!!!

Ole lady pulls a Raymond on me....She tells me "to call yourself an idiot....I am to tired"

Hurt like hell when it happened....But now it seems to be getting better. Thank *** those things are not sharp...Would made my palm look like salami.

Taking the car out in the A.M. and then to a Car show Saturday. Hope she does not let me down...Showing her off to all of my FORD buddies.

Wait until your in the pits, revving your motor checking stuff out and
be standing next to the car when a fan belt breaks and slaps a
stripe down the middle of your face breaking your nose and givin'
you a pair of shiners and a fat lip.

Yeah, that story is from experience.......

yeah man, it didn't quite feel good... a nurse I ran into said it was 2nd degree, but I never went to a doctor, I just slapped peroxide and alcohol on it daily and scrapped until it got clean and it started to heal, still don't have full control over my hand at all times and it hurts but it's getting there...

I suppose I'd better hop in and gripe about how my Iroc bit me as well. I was working at cutting off my old, rotten and completely rusted on rear impact bar and somehow managed to, while moving my left hand, catch it on a jagged piece of rusty metal...It cut through three fingers like butter...about five hours later, the emergency room surgeon reattached the two that were hanging, and stitched up the third. Of course, it just so happens I play guitar in a jazz orchestra...or at least I used to...and have been studying guitar for the last ten years.

This all happened on tuesday, and I've seen a specialist since. It appears I had a hell of a surgeon, and the repair looks very promising. I will certainly have regular use of my hand in a few months. My musical ambitions look a little more bleak, and I'm having a pretty tough time with that. Working on the car, which is completely torn apart and all over my house in the midst of a full rest-rod project, is also tough with one hand...I was so angry I almost called the scrap yard up yesterday, but I figure I might as well have something to show for all this. The moral of the story is: Don't work on your car at 4 am when you're exhausted, and pay bloody attention to everything you do!...I've since also invested in a pretty heavily armoured set of Mechanics gloves--they're worth the expense.
