Thanks, I may have beat that Firehawk because the owner just locked it up and left, judges hate that.

At least I talked to the crowd (removed a ton of fingerprints too)

Alot of questions tossed my way....

"Man your car only goes 80?"

"Is that the Bandit car"

"Whats Recaro mean?"

A worthy car indeed. A Fourth gen would be hard pressed to compete.

And asked... 'I see 4 but, where's the other half of the motor?'

Certainly a super sharp & straight (and I dont' mean sexual preference...) 'bird 85..

your car just looks stock and you won? I dont get it.. The car is in great shape i just dunno how you could compete to people that have 20k into their car.

crazy3rdgen,

There are so many variables that affect the outcome in a show, one being the demographics of the voters. POCI is geared to the older Pontiacs and so with that the ages of this group is in the upper end of the spectrum. They apreciate an "older" model. There is 17 yrs between my car and the Firehawk.

Also because the owner just parked his ride, put a for sale sign in it and left tells the voters "Im just here to sell my car and dont want to sit here all day"

Because of the threat of rain there were way less cars this year so that narrowed the choices down.

I was just tickled to see a 3rd gen get some well deserved recognition.

The 85 is stock for the most part and I intend to keep it that way.
I appreciate the work you guys put into your cars, dont get me wrong, but like deadbird mentioned less is more. I have 4k total in my car, how it beat one costing 6 times as much is a good question.

I may be the seats, they are what set it apart from all the rest of the crowd and frankly there just are not many left equiped like this.

For what its worth, the pics above came out crappy, this is one of the best ones I have.
