from unlimied products and they tell you to remove factory springs, but i was also told that if your careful it will be okay, what should I do ?

factory springs? If you are talking about the shock absorber things that hold up the hood...be careful...i know a dumb kid who didn't change them, opened up his hood and cracked them the hood. Go to a boneyard and open some hoods. Find some shocks that are worn and barely hold a hood open..Take those off and they should work fine with your lighter hood.

heh...i wonder who that dumb kid is. Anyways....i believe they sell the hood struts (i believe thats the real name) for both steel and fiberglass hoods. I think I saw them at Autozone. It may be a special order item though. But yeah.....you can pick up some worn out ones and they will probably hold it up with no problems.
