2007 Camaro

What do you guys think of the 07 camaro? http://www.popularhotrodding.com/fea...409phr_camaro/ I think it looks cool its going back to the older style of the 60s mixed with the smoother lines of today. I hope they make it sooner than 07 tho. Atleast they are going to make camaros again.

That article is quite old, it is not a definate truth as of now that the Camaro will return, not to mention in 2007. If you want more info on this subject i would visit camaroz28.com or some other site as the moderators here will not leave this thread open too long.

Chances are we won't see a new F-body for a lone time. GM has saturated its lineup with an SS/V8 version of everything. You also now have the GTO, SSR, Silverado SS, and V8 equipt montes (SS), Impy's (SS) and grand prix's (GXP). Also, the zeta platform has long been cancelled.

Why would they take it down? Isnt this a forum?

I guess its ok to keep every other ol stuff up here? The same people posting the same stuff. What do you wash your car with? look at my car I vacumed the interior today?

Its cool to read that stuff yet I do not see why this is any different.

I think GM will be forced to bring back the Camaro to maybe get a top seller again. Spark sales... There sales are so poor and getting their but kicked to Toyota, Lexas, Honda and many others.

I love my Chevy but to buy a GM as a daily driver is redictulous. Because no one wants to buy someting thats constantly in the shop. Drops like a rock in value...

Anyway, I think they will end up releasing it.

Yes it is a forum, but it is intended soley for the discussion of 3rd gens. The 2007 f-body would be a 5th gen.

GM and Ford are getting their butt kicked because they are not on the same equal corperate playing field as our eastern competitors. That is another disscussion in itself though.

Lutz killed the Zeta Platform, and the chances of a 2007 along with it. It's old news.

I use my Firebird as a daily driver and it never gives me problems. Brakes, belts, fluid changes, that's all I've ever done on it.

I don't get all this "GM cars always break down" crap, no they're not perfect, but a lot better than Ford/Chrysler and even some foreign makers (Nissan has had crap quality as of late), and they're even better now than they were 15 years ago.

Plus, our older cars are much much better for working on. Ever see mods done to newer cars... Ok... Take off the front bumper so we can get at the radiator in the first place... Bull crap IMO.

And as for Chevy's being bad, my parents have a 2000 Van, never had a problem, and my bro's 86 Blazer, that is still in good condition.

I agree with you ^^^^^^^. My dad bought a chevy aveo for my sis. Got it for 7000, new. gets over 30 mpg on the highway. Runs great and is fast than sisters KIA. I know it is not saying much, but still, the KIA driver loves to drive the aveo, hehe. I had a camaro Z28 with just about every preformance option. Drove the **** out of it, and did burn outs and smoke shows averyday after school and never broke a thing.

Now this is the dead truth, my parents spent way, and i mean way more $ ceeping up the 95 carolla than i ever did with the camaro. Hell even my A/C was still ice cold, and the carolla's had to get charged every season.

Screw imports and their whole scene.

And one last thig, if people wanna bitch about the bad economy and drive imports then they are retarted. If you wanna help the economy, keep the $ in this country. Buy american, I allways will. That I am sure of 100%.

This would be my model line for 2007 if i was GM.

Camaro - 3.8 Supercharged V6
Camaro SS - 6.0L LS2
Camaro ZL1 - 427 LS7

Make the camaro not retro. Redesign the GTO for that. Make it look like the 99 concept.
Pontiac GTO (redesigned) - 6.0L

Design the supercar Pontiac always wanted: 2 seater V8 pontiac banshee to compete with the vette.

Pontiac Banshee - 427 LS7.

^ Stuff may be assembled here but its components are often made overseas. Not to mention that the all that $ doesn't stay in this country either. Sorry but buying American, doesn't mean what it used to.

I love my firebird but I must say that it is a problem to drive it daily.......my firebird is my daily driver but it is a old car and it is a USA brand car so it means not that good QC.....to Taiwanese, it tooks me 3 weeks to fine pair of inside door handle bar, the Electronic system always make me worry to drive the long trip, it also happened to my 1993 grand am too......

I still drive GM car only, it is very not usual in Taiwan, because they stop to import Pontiac, Chevy, Olds......since 1995, people here are driving Japan and Euro cars now.....I wish GM can improve the QC and back to Taiwan one day.......

Pontiac only signed a 3 year contract with Holden to build GTO. 04-06. Holden's looks better anyway but yeah. I think i read its more likely for the chevelle to come back then the camaro.

Where have you seen a remodeled GTO??

Zeta doesn't mean anything. You guys need to visit the camaroz28.com 5th gen forum once in awhile. The CAW contract expires soon so I would be looking at the upcoming auto shows for something to show up.

At the car craft summer nationals last weekend GM had this rolling around the show, I thought it was pretty damn sweet looking.
