Delete the "JL" logo? Pictures inside
As alot of you guys know, I re-done my stereo. Well, I had some problems with the finish. So, I had to repaint the piece I made to cover my amp up. Do you guys think I should leave the "JL Audio" logo off and put a new on one? Here are a few pictures:

maybe some other type of logo instead of the JL cause i agree without it looks a little plain it needs something to break it up a little. But just a regular bowtie wouldn't do it. of course i could be wrong

I like it on. Don't know why, but it looks sleek and classy. But then again, this may be swayed by the fact I think if you leave it off, it will look like something that should be there (amp, logo, whatever), isn't.

i would leave the jl off also but it does need some other kind of detail... the grey bowtie is cool... maybe somthing ghosted with a white pearl. flame would be ok but i don;t think it goes with your clean style of car.
heartbeat of america with the wave form in ghost pearl maybe?
what other slogans did gm have in the 80's

one other thought is to put a 10 or 12 inch monitor in there that would look good..

That location looks like a great place to flush mount your amps. Flush mounting hides all the wires, and gives a nice professional appearance.

I polished the **** out of the taillights
I made the amp cover with wood...and alot of trail and error work...and some imagination. But....I really wish I could have flush mounted the amp from behind...or...have maybe a clear plexiglass window...and the amp beneath it...aww well

...how about a "Z-28" logo ? ...or a brushed aluminum bowtie to match the one on your grill?

A 3D Z28 logo would look tight. Just cut the pieces out of foam and then glue some black material over it (your choice of course). While your at it you might want to make that peice flat and have the subs match up at that height... or make it all one piece and cover your plastics in the same material. Just too many flat lines/angles mixed with the curves of the plastics and differences in texture of the stuff. Everything needs to go together.
