Got back to the black SS Grill?

I've went to a few shows and some of the people mentioned that the grill was a little to much. After standing back...and looking at it....it does stick out alot. Do you guys think I should go back with the original black SS grill or stick with the billet grill?

Are you talking about the grille in your hood, or front of car? Please post pics of both options.

I know there was no third gen ss, but you never know, he said grille, made me think of grille, not hood, which is not a third gen hood either.

I honestly don't like the billet. I'd stick with the black.

I'd go with the black. But the way it is now is not "too much" at all. I just think black would look better.

Well, you know I like the billet
But why not take the best of both and powder coat the billet grille black? That way it gets less noticable and you don't have to put back on the cheap @$$ stock plastic grille?

Just my $.02

Are you going with a satin finish or a gloss finish?

I personally don't subscribe to the mindset that every part of the car must serve the aesthetics of the entire vehicle.

By that I simply mean I enjoy little avant-garde touches (such as your grille) when I check out custom cars at shows. Just because it perhaps doesn't traditionally fit in with the rest of the vehicle doesn't mean it can't complement the car as a whole.

In short, it's perfect just as it is.

i absolutely love the grille...i'd keep it, but if you wanna get rid of it, i'll be the first to buy it...i already have a billet grille that i'm gonna "try" to cut out, but it'll be tons of work...but if you wanna get rid of it, i'll take it off your hands...

I don't think it stands out too much at all. I don't think anything on your car stands out a lot except the car itself. But if you want to change it, I agree with Ken's powdercoating idea.

I say stick with billet man just goes with the rest of the car. Maybe stick it back under the scoop further if possible so it doesn't catch light so much.

You must be thinking of the foglight grill. We are actually talking about the grill in my SS hood. BTW, the bowtie grill is staying...

I'm starting to wonder if the brushed bowtie will look out of place without the billet to compliment it. We'll see though, get those pics up.
