Got 3 grand on trade in, plus they knocked some off of the asking price of the '03 Silverado SS I got. A little sad to see the TA go, but at the same time I'm extatic about the new(er) truck! I told the wife we're going to the next area dealer auction to see if I can buy back the TA for a couple hundred bucks, LOL!

Now, to start saving up for the third gen I've always wanted... Late IROC 'vert in red or white with 18" IROC wheels.

 

you know that be really funny if you got your TA back for like 500 bucks.

id trade in my car if i know i could get it back for next to nothing .

Uh oh, IROCs don't need aluminum gauge surrounds... are you still going to be making them?

 

Almost 10 grand off of brand new ones, from 44,xxx down to 34,xxx depending on options. Plus any dickering you want to do, add in your GM card or Driver's Edge card earnings, and you could get close to 30K. The only '05's that they had left were red (4 of them) and I wanted black, plus they weren't willing to deal as easily as on the used one. I saved for over three years driving the TA without a car payment, then played it for a good week and a half to get the deal I got, and paid cash for the deal.

I tell you what though... I wish I had saved another year in order to pay for the gas on this new hog. 12-13 city and 16 MPG highway!!! The TA got 26 highway and averaged 18 in town/mixed.

I have two sets left right now. None are planned to be made for the future since it's taken all summer to sell these first ten sets at a loss. It doesn't make good business sense to continue them.
