New pics

Too bad the IROC had to go in storage the day after I took these pics. :/ I didn't quite have time to fix a couple minor things wrong with it before I transferred here to Cali so I took my Talon.

I've done a ton of work to it since I bought it (to upgrade from the '89) last Thanksgiving, and the twin-turbo setup is pretty much finally ready to go on when I get back in 14 months.

Used to be all gray interior with a TH-350, now T56.

I have a ton more pics, but here's the three limit.

Thanks.

I'd post more pics but the limit for attachments is three and I have nowhere to host them.

Thanks.

The wheels might look better to you guys because the left front, which is really noticeable in the first pic, has an "inner lip delete" via electrical tape until I can get all of them painted flat black. It really looks better in person too.

I hear imageshack is full of spam, no thanks. Maybe Photobucket, but those limits kinda suck. I miss old school Imagestation, that rocked.

89firebirdguy, It was probably me you saw, I lived in VA Beach but left in June. I lived by NAS Oceana.

I haven't actually been to imageshack, was just told there's a lot of spam there (popups?).

What color blue? Uh oh, heh. That's more complicated than it should be.

I don't know what the color from the doors back is because that's the color the whole car was when I bought it and the seller didn't know either, but it isn't the stock blue. I say doors back because I had to replace the bumper and left fender due to a little deer incident with the prior owner, and I replaced the hood too. The fenders forward are a slightly darker more mettalic blue that apparantly is supposed to be the stock "Bright Blue Mettalic" from '89 made by a sub-company of Dupont (I forget the name), but I've seen plenty of stock Bright Blue Mettalic '89's and this color is too deep and dark to be it, oh well. It's a better looking color IMO and the whole car would look better in it.
The jerks who painted it did a horrible job that desperately needs wet-sanded and buffed, but that's another story, and they were also supposed to paint match it to the rest of the car. At any rate, it's not that bad from 20+ feet away (heh).

The above shows the difference between the front and back wheels like I was talking about, even though they're the same Corvette 17" wheel. They'll all look like the front in a matter of time.

Okay, here comes some more.

More later, gotta run.

Surprise! Next to mine is the '89 that I upgraded from. It now belongs to my uncle and he's taking good care of it.

That Hood looks good on your car . When you get back you gotta drive it over to this side I'd love to see the twin turbo setup. And also where did ya get your car painted and how much? cause I am really looking into painting mine.

Thanks, I'd have to agree, and thanks for selling it.

I meant when I get back to Oklahoma, not Virginia, sorry. I don't plan on living there anymore. :/ Be sure to see all the future updates on here though... https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=301871

As for the paint, someone I knew had his buddy paint it for me as they were trying to start up a business partnership, I was duped into thinking this guy knew what he was doing, but I could have done it much better myself. In fact, my 15 year old sister could have done it better. The pictures make it look quite a bit better than it is, and I would strongly recommend against them.
I don't know of any better places around there though, but I bet someone on hr3rdgen.org could point you to a good place in the area.

Be sure to post pics if you get it painted.
