spoiler or no spoiler?
some cars look good with them some cars look good without them. i tried on my red car and didn't like it too much. i have built a new car and am wrapping the body work up on it right now. should i shave the spoiler or put the 82-86 non-thirdbrake light style spoiler
here is some pictures to help you...imagine it white and having 85-87 irocs on it:

If its another sport coupe I would keep a factory spoiler on it. I think they look naked without a spoiler.

Man I love your car the way it is, one of the only cars I have ever seen taht i dont like a spoiler on, it just looks bitchen for some reason, your car and there is a picture of a yellow 91/92 with no spoiler and it looks hella hot. I say no spoiler

it is a non-gfx 1990 rs...if you catch my drift...so, three votes no spoiler, one vote for factory spoiler and one for a $300 unit i'm not going to buy...more opinions please.
also, if i go no spoiler, should the grids stay on or go back to the line in the middle style taillights?

as far as tailights, whichever i go with(i have both), even thoughi hated the amber on my red car...i think it will look righteous on a white car all polished.

damnit i got work at 7...and im chattin away...lol
My vote is for spoiler...either way you go on your car it will look fine...most cars u cant ditch the spoiler or else its missing something...like mine for example, but for yours i think either way would look just fine
My vote is keep the spoiler though...

thats a tough one... I like the way our car looks right now without a spoiler..
however being completely white (not two tone) and having iroc rims on it, I think it will look better with a spoiler. my two cents..

Hi
Go for the spoiler it completes the car. Camaros without one look way too plane jane. Stay away from the 91-92 Wing though they dont look very good. If i were you i would get an 87 88 89 style with the third brake light. The third brake light on the window looks like **** in my opinion.
Good luck with the decision

here's what i think i'll do. i'm gonna fill in the holes and send the car to paint, then i'll also send the spoiler to paint. if i don't like the way it turned out, i'll redrill the holes and put the spoiler back on. sound fair?

And yes, I recall the blue mohawk. Have you gone "spoilerless" since then and let it grow back?

I say forget the spoiler and get some taillights polished. I don't know how non-grids would look on a car without a spoiler. But the grids look good in the pictures above. Either way it will look good. Lowering it down a bit will give it a mean stance. I've always been a fan of GFX cars but yours is going to be awesome
It's been 5 days since he posted asking what people thought and 3 days since you last put in your 1 cent. Give the man some time to make a decision and get it done.

alright...update...
car is spoilerless. i welded up the holes and filled them in with evercoat and primed them on sunday evening. looks ok with the current non-grid lights, will probably look better with the grids though. i got the hatch all lined up perfectly too. can't say i've seen a whole lot of hatches that line up perfectly, especially when after you take one off and put another one on! the car originally had defrost on the back. well, i couldn't have that with the tint that i'm going to put on now could i? so i put the non-defrost hatch on the car, shaved the spoiler and have it in primer. i also filled in the wholes from the gfx on the gta pass. side door i bought for the car. it is now officially completely gfx-less and spoiler-less. and i don't think i'd want this car any other way. it looks slick as crap, even in red/white/black/primer camo that it's got going on right now. it's getting painted in 10 days!
i'm working on polishing my grids right now. that's why the non-grids are on it for the moment.
as far as lowering goes, here's my stance on that issue:
i have a 2 1/2" dual exhaust under the car that needs the clearance. currently i have nearly 5" of clearance under the lowest point, which is pretty darn good. i'd really like to lower the front of the car at least an 1". then the back of the car will need to be dropped at least an 1". so, yeah, but clearance will suffer some (which i think i can deal with) but the biggest thing is weight transfer. i drag race this car on a regular basis so i need the loose v6 springs i'm running right now. the only other option i see is running some trimmed trick springs. my father has some new in box trick springs and i'm thinking of buying/trading something for them. but i don't know how that would be on the street. jbenge has some on his car in conjunction with some 90/10 struts and he says it's a bit of a handful getting off the interstate. i drive ALOT on the interstate so...but at the same time, i'd be running some fresh monroe stock replacement struts and not some that promote weight transfer...so it might be a pretty good medium. i'm also running sway bars again (v6, but still better than when i wasn't running anything) so that will limit travel on the street greatly.

I think it looks good spoilerless with the 15's and with running the 16's. You've been busting your hump and it'll look good either way regardless.
White & no gfx reminds me of bubbakutz car... quite the sharp looking ride as well...

looks like the car may get a set of pro-stars in the next few weeks too!

i like the spoiler. it gives it the sports car look, with out it i just think they look like a grandma car. well your car could never look like that so i say what you are doing is good. I hope that makes since.

No spoiler! Don't even send the bitch into paint! Lol. But i would go with the grids, if you have just the single split on white with no spoiler, i think it'd just rub you the wrong way. Good luck.

WOW!! I didn't even realize that that was your car. Looks real nice man, especially with the white! No spoiler was definitely the way to go too, I was debating whether to take mine off or not when I was doing some body work a few weeks ago. I think its gonna stay though...
I still don't think that many people realize that that's your car lol...

P.S.: SPORT COUPES KICK A$$!!!
