Anyone else think it'd be cool to see a 5th generation Camaro/Firebird modeled after the first gen's?

sorry about that picture quality it was the first thing I ever did in photoshop, and that damn front wheel just wouldn't turn out right.. as you can see if you look good it's a mixture of the newer camaro (the middle to back, and the 1st gen front, slightly modified so it can't be called a first gen, but a modern version

I just think it would be cool to have an older style car with newer accessories and a more modern high output engine. Also with today's suspension and sound deadening materials, I'm sure it'd be a nice ride.

i think the original 5th gen concept illustration released was the best one. i saw it in a super chevy mag about 3 or 4 months ago...if they ever decide to make a 5th gen, they outta drop a LS6 or a highly modified 6.0L, so the rustang will never come close again performance wise.

look in the newest camaro performers, it is a great illustration of the 1st gen styled 5th gen camaro.

I don't remember what magazine i saw it in, but for the (5th gen?) new camaro's they were supposed to put out 435 horses, and the TA's with 6xx. I remember seeing that in a magazine...now i am off in my pursuit to find that magazine!

-K&N Airfilters

-MSD 8.5 mm plug wires
-Problems every other day with the car (probably not a mod, but to me it sure makes a difference)

First off I realise this is a very old thread, that said.
I was thinking it would be cool to find an aftermarket chassis, and buy all aftermarket body panels and interior parts. Build a new 69 camaro, however you wanted.

you could build a 1st gen shell and chassis with 12 pt cage and all for like $6500 but it's all fiberglass...

Nope, that green one is butt ugly. It looks like a slightly modified Corvette, and I hate how the Corvette's look. Utterly disgusting.

Holy crap, that green one makes me wanna cream my pants. I can't wait until the new 5th gens come out in 2007. Hopefully it will have some 3rd gen styling as well.
