Is the third brake light on the hatch window of an 86 removable?

Just wondering if I could get rid of it easily. I work at a bodyshop, so tools and stuff like that isn't a problem. Also, would the wiring for the hatch defrost still be there? thanks a lot for the help.

I think you'd be better off getting a new hatch if you dont like it....I think there are screws/fittings that go through the glass to hold it down

Yes it is, i had two more "buttons" so i just put them inplace of the holes that the brake light left.

I say leave it, I left mine and painted it red to match the body, and it looks good.

i dont think it looks bad...just think it looks better without it, the lines of the car look better.

yea, if you got a set from one hatch (4) you can split them between us, that'd be great.

I looked in my garage, through all my boxes, and all my baskets and I couldn't find those SOB's. Sorry about that, I was sure that I had some, thats why I said something. Definitaly get them from Dave84Bird, first he definitaly has them and second theres no shipping involved. Damnit I was sure I had a set of 4 alying somewhere...
