I'm sick of the third gen being the Hollywood whipping boy. We all know dayum well that in a few years, the third gen is going to be the cool car.

 

In the italian job at the end when the helicopter has the mini cornered and he takes it up the side ramp when he gets off of it he lands ontop of a third gen bird.

so logicaly in a few years the third gen will cease to be the "hollywood whipping boy" when it is finaly cool? you do not start liking something before it is cool as a whole, it starts with a few poeple building a sort of fan base and then it grows from there. i dont want the 3rd gens to be popular. i dont care what the value of my gta is, because i dont plan to sell it. one of the only reasons i could see people wanting the values of our cars to go up is so that they can make money off them. the other being recognition that their car that they chose to become a fan of is desireable, not because they themsleves really like the car, but because they want others to admire them for something not so basic as asthetic beauty, but so much collectability. i think they will reach the status in 5 years or so too, but i dont really look forward to it, i like parts being cheap.

 

you guys look at the car and say its nice, but its only there for a spilt second, for all you know its floor boards were rusted out or the frame was cracked, these cars that they destroy arn't exactly perfect.
