In 97 there were 30th anniversary cars that where white with orange herritage stripes, and white ZR1/SS wheels, I think they are ****. If you want white wheels go with the SS, I think the painted IROC's would look nasty.
EDIT: I was bored, not a 3rd gen but what the heck.

Just a heads up, but I think Pearl white wheels would be a real pain to keep clean.
I have a 94 25th T/A w/ white wheels, and I literally have to clean them every time I park the car. But I could just be a little bit OCD

Maybe you should just paint the inserts white.

it'd look weird unless you painted the rims pearl white too....which I agree would be a pain. IMO, you'd have to run some decent sized sidewall for it to look good too (so there's a good amount of black tire to break it up a bit). If you run low-pros, and even a big size rim, I think it'd be overkill
When I got my car painted I still had the stock red rims, and I (along with pretty much everyone on this board) thought it was too much red

ya, i decided to not paint my rims white.
it just doesn't see like a good idea plus it might look tacky.
thanks for all of you input and opinions.
also i was wondering if there are ay tricks to make my factory rims shine more?

Anyone think a real dark blue with white rims might look good.. I was actually considering going with dark blue paint, and white powdercoated C6 18s.
how bout something like the 30th anniversary firebird, blue tint?

I dont have a picture of it but i saw a white thirdgen camaro with 17 inch white ss wheels from a 1998 camaro and it looked real sharp. White with black wheels also looks good. I think with painted rims you need at least 17 or 18s.

i think your car would look sweet if you painted the Irocs BLACK!!!
and to make them stick out even more, chrome the lips on them! that would be one bad set of Irocs...

WAIT,
It is up to you, but I an repainting my rims this weekend and I will post a pic asap. I think white on white is the best color but that is my opinion.
