From the GTA to the Camaro*FIXED LINK*
So my 87 GTA took a major crap on me about a year ago.
It was my first car and I still miss it...to a point. The 350 TPI was torqy but my electrical problems with a 87k original mile car just drove me crazy.
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to find a very clean RS camaro for cheap, 305 TBI with the typical 700R4.
The flame paint was done before I bought it by a friend of my fathers, who does tank paint for our Harley Store. They are growing on me.

But what do you guys think? Not too bad right?
The girlfriend likes it.
Also, unrelated to the topic, I've been haunting these boards before I even got my license and have been a better Thirdgen'er because of it. You guys know your stuff and this board has helped me countless times. Thanks!

Hey thanks! I do feel the difference in power, but, I do also love the ease of maintenance for the TBI, as well as the lack of all my TPI bugs. And, this RS is prime for a crate motor which is my plan. (like alot of us)
Glad you like the painted grill, my friends, (we have a thirdgen club) give me crap for it. I like it.
I have seen some pretty horrid flame jobs, this one is decent I think. Or...it could be worse.

I like it, nott too flashy, I would change a couple things if it were mine, black grille and headlight buckets, but it still looks really *** the way it is.

It's red, it has t-tops, it's very nice. For the money it looks like you did good. You are right, being a TBI car it has tons of potential and lot of different directions to take it. Good luck on it and keep us posted.
