Should I put a ss ram air hood on my maro'?
Should I put a ss ram air hood on my maro'?
My 2" cowl scoop on my maro is cracking because the painter did a crappy job.It was a bolt on hood scoop and not a functional hood so thats where I probably messed up.Anyways,I have a person selling a ram air ss hood for 300 bux.I was just wondering if i should go this route.I didnt like the look when i saw it but when i did some research, the look grows on me....I know most people dont like it but after looking at this red camaro,it just looks so pretty.
Here is my camaro

Here is the hood that im getting

I'm actually not a huge fan of the WS6 98-02 TA hood on any third gen Camaro....but it fits soo damn well with Camaroguy18's Camaro.

i really like Camaroguy18 but i think that the hood is too rounded for our camaros i mean our cars are more square thats just my opinion though its your car you do what you want.

i wish cowl scoops werent so expensive or i would buy a cowl hood...but this hood is pretty cheap and would be different than the regular cowls that almost everyone has.No one want to photoshop this for me =)

or you can get an actual ss hood, which is the design in Sickness91Z28's sig.

I like it, but it seems that it has more to do with the whole car. It's not one of those hoods you can just throw on and say done. CamaroGuy18 did the whole package and it's put well together. I love his car, but it's one of the ones that is done right. I think it might have to do with the curvier wheels and the color of the car that mask some of the differences in the angles between what's on the hood and what's on the car.

well thanks for all the compliments in this post guys...it's good to hear. But I have to agree that theres a few things that make the hood less 'stand-outish' on my car. First and foremost is the 5" spoiler....the second I put the hood on my car I knew that the car became way unbalanced and need something to compliment the back....the spoiler did just that. The other really big thing is the angles of my pictures....look at the one thats just a 'side' pic, and then the oddly-angled one...in the first pic, the 'nostrils' are just blocky and big (like a cowl), but they seem more rounded in the artistic stance....alot of it is eye candy
I say if you have a plan in your mind go for it and see the results...you can always change later
