Im about to get a 91-92 front passenger side fender ground effects and a front bumper cover of a formula but i dont kno it is the same as my base model 91 firebird body kit and front bumper cover. Can i see pics of 91-92 formula's and 91-92 base model firebirds. These are the last two parts i need before my car is completely fixed.

So then if you have the base model with ground effects and you were needing to replace the front bumper cover, would you get the Formula style or the Trans Am style?

 

trans am front end. formula would not have the GFX ends to match the body

 

My '91 Formula has the front end ground effects. Granted, they are all torn up because the person i bought it from couldn't park without hitting the curb, but they are there. I thought only the V6 didn't come with the ground effects.

 

nope my v8 5 speed firebird has no GFX

 

Then the previous owner also added the GFX. Formula's could not be had with them at all.

No formula in 91/92 came with gfx from the factory.
I have also never heard of or seen a single base model firebird from 91/92 without the trans am style gfx. This is the first time I hear of it 92Transam. I assume you are not the original owner, but how much of the cars history are you aware of?

 

There were plenty of base 91/92 birds built without GFX. Just do a quick search on ebay.

 

im the 2nd owner and it has no holes for GFX nore does the front and rear bumpers have the GFX so unless the previous owner swapped all that im almost 100% sure it never had them lol

I'm sure he's mistaken the front air dam for front gfx, because the dam has been cracked. Which happens when you park too close to the parking barrier in most lots.

No Formula ever had gfx, period.

My buddies 92 V6 has gfx, does anyone know if all V6 came with it?

 

If it has foglights then you have the TA bumper with gfx, if it doesn't then its the base nose with no gfx.

Also the base nose had black inserts in the nose slots while the TA didn't have inserts and the slots of the nose were painted body color.

Trans Ams/GTA's came with GFX.
Formulas didn't come with GFX.
Firebirds(V8 & V6) - some came with them and some didn't.

Don't know who's car this is but this is the car with ground effects.
