Post pics of your Blackouts
Hey guys
I have a Black Iroc and I am not sure whether I should get tail blackouts, Headlight blackouts, or both!
Could you please post pics of your blackouts so I can get a feel for them.
Thanks alot!

Wow
They look really cool on black cars! Does anyone know where I could find tail and headlight covers from GTS?
Thanks

I'll have to post some updated pics of my car but here's an oldie for ya:
They look especially good since all the stickers are gone now and 5% tint is on the car.

I had them on my old Z28 in the front and rear and even though they dont let much light through I loved how they made the back of the car look alot smoother.

I used VHT Nightshades and Eastwood plastic polishing compound. They are darker than I would like, but I have not received any trouble.

Just so all you guys know, you can take those little gts stickers off of the lenses. A hot day and my fingernail did it for me.

How did you attach the blackouts to the taillights? I bought some used and was wondering how to affix them.

Now THAT looks awesome. Looks absolutely perfect, now just need to hide your exhaust so you cant see anything.

Hey ETERNALDARKNESS
Those are pretty basic to make if you want clear. Buy a small sheet of clear plexi and then cut it. Buy some rubber trim for the edges so they dont scratch and then attach them with velcro on the sides. If you want tint ones [ like me] you then use some spray nightshade. I havent made myself a set yet but if i could find a set of real ones Id love to buy them.
Also i hate to intrude on your deal KonArtist with ETERNALDARKNESS but if you wanted to sell them and if ETERNAL would allow it I would buy them. I have always wanted some.
Thank you

Oh I almost forgot!
ETERNALDARKNESS said that the clear ones were discontinued... are the blackout ones discontinued as well? If not, who manufactures them and where could i find a set?
Thanks so much

They came with the car about 5 years ago when my parents first bought it, and yes there very basic design just a rectangle with rubber around the edges with velcro to hold them on. There is nothing on them that says who made them.
When I deside what im gonna do with them I'll let you guys be the first to know.

I had nothing to do and it was a snowday for my highschool [ thats Canada for you] and i liked the clear headlight cover idea too. So i made some. They look way better in real life but the picture reflectiion was messed up from the white snow outside, they are really crystal clear and i love them. They are really cool. I want to either buy a tint set like Konartists or make some. Next time i turn my car around for a change i will take another pic without snow reflection so you can see what they really look like.
