$180? What are you kidding me? That's a lot of money for a window tint, yes I know the rear window is hard to tint but I know a place here where I'm from where you can limo tint your camaro for $50 and it's very good quality and its a very professional shop, I was shocked when I seen some of you payed over a $100 for a tint.

I dont remember what mine cost (it was between 160 and 190) and i had that done in september. At any place near me, it doesnt matter what kind of car you have, as long as it has 2 doors its all the same price. So they didnt charge me any more than they would charge a mustang or another car for that matter.
As for the back window being tough to tint, they didnt even get it right the first time. It started to peel a little bit at the one corner (completely invisible if you were outside the car, it was that far up into the corner)...i had my mom take it back while i was in school, and it started to peel again, so i took it back a week later. It started to peel again but then i was just like **** it! because the tint shop is in a ****ty area of the city and every time i take my car there i either think its gona get shot up, stolen, or be driving done one of hte narrow streets and for someone to swing open their doors and hit me. So yea its stil not fixed, i just dont care anymore. Its such a small section and you cant even see it so i dont even bother.

Does it make any difference to have windows tinted in the cold weather (cold as in chicago winter
). I know that if you have your windows tinted and turn on the defroster too soon it will mess them up from the air expanding and breaking the glue seal, but has anybody had a problem with cold weather freezing the solution they use to apply the tint?
Just wondering because I was planning on pulling the GTA into the garage for a few days and tinting them myself. I would keep it in the garage for the winter by my dad's vette gets one side and my race quad gets the other
, so I dont have much leverage to argue for garage space.

I only paid about $80 to get my sides and rear tinted. They did a fairly good job with the tint. But the guy that took the car into to garage was revving up the engine (right outside the door
) and there was dried up soap all over the interior and outside of the car when they gave it back.

MonteMan357, How long ago did you have it done? Did you keep the car outside afterwards or did it go in the garage when it wasn't getting driven? I am asking because if I tint my windows this winter the GTA will get uncovered and driven to get tinted, and then parked back in the driveway and covered back up again right away to sit out in 30 degree temps. .....Maybe I should just wait until spring rather than risking it
. I can't take it though not being able to play with it, damn Illinois.

ive actually had 2 cars tinted, both in the winter and they both sat outside and one got driven outside and i never had any problems with either. no bubbles or anything and it held up great.
