black plastic polish

i have louvers on my rear window and i was wondering how i can polish them up real good. what do you guys use?

Meguiar's makes a plastic polish called PlastiX (I think that's what it's called). Anyway, I used it on my tail lights and it worked just fine. An orbital buffer helps too, if you have one.

I use the Mother's Back to Black too.

I also use it on the headlight pockets.

Awesome product.

I just noticed you said rear window louvers, not hood louvers. I'm not sure the Mother's B2B or PlastiX will work on painted metal.

You could take 'em of and paint them, or have 'em painted.


...oh, and I happen to like the louvers.

It depends, if the louvers are a black plastic and they're faded, then Back to Black might work. If they're plastic and kinda just crappy lookin, then try the PlastiX and Back to Black. If they're metal, paint them.

AHHH I would just get them re-painted, don't hassel over them to much get it done the right way so you won't have to put up with them later.
