I have sequential Tail lights now!!!

I know there have been a lot of discussions on the topic and i actually wanted some when i saw a gif of nosaints car with them.....so here are some gif's of what they look like on my car :-D

i need to get a slower flasher though cuz the last bulb doesn't stay on long....i bought a semi-truck electronic one but i would like something even slower....i tried to motify the existing flasher but it would either blink the same rate or not blink at all

anyway.....here are the gif's

lemme know what you think...

Matt... I kinda like it. A question... did you simply purchase the Mustang kit advertised on the WebElectric site and install it on your "F"?

I wonder what that would look like on a set of 91-92 tailights...

That actually looks great. I wouldnt like it for the stop lights, but for the turn signal, its perfect. Any morei nformation on the kit you used?

Details from the site: WebElectric Products

Solid State Circuitry

Rugged Weather Resistant Construction

Programmable Brake Light Operation

Works on All Multiple Signal Cars

If you have two or more turn signal filaments on each side of your car, you can add the STS-1 Sequencer Kit and really indicate your intentions.

If your car has combination stop/turn signal lamps, these modules will sequence the turn and emergency flashers only. The brake lights operate normally! However, if you want the brake lights to sequence too, these modules will do it. Your Choice!

Installation takes about an hour, and for most cars, only basic hand tools are required!

STS-1 Sequential Turn Signals, $67

Matt... talk to us about the details of the "1 hour installation". Where does the unit connect?

Are there 3 bulbs on each side on these taillights?

I love it.

A friend has it on his 97 T/A. I am tempted to do it to my 84.

I was wondering how good it would work.
We want to use it on our '91 Firebird with the '85-'90 Trans Am taillights.

it is a pretty simple install ......i had to drill a hole on each side of the rear of my car to run the wires through....on my car and i think how all of the firebirds are....on the drivers side the signal wire comes in through the middle socket....and there is a jumper wire that runs to the inside socket...all i did was disconnect the wire to the middle socket and hooked it up to the inside socket....and then from there you hook up the power wire to the module off of the signal wire...and then for the two outer sockets you hook up the blue and white wires coming off of the module and thats it.....once i had everything apart and the holes drilled it only took me about 30 minutes to wire up both sides....just remember you will have to install a parking/turn signal socket(aka 3-wire socket) for the outermost bulb....

and if you dont like the stop light feature then you have to run a wire up to the turn signal indicators on your dash and hook the signal wire up to those for the kit....thats how you make it only work for turning operation.....

i must say i had to buy a semi-truck flasher from napa to make it flash slow enough pn:50-262-3.....but it still isn't really slow so if any of you know of a slower one lemme know

were you able to spread apart the factory grommit for the tail light wiring??? because i tried (because i dont like putting holes in vehicles) but i couldnt get any of them to go through.......or did u just mount the modules on the exterior somewhere.....??

since u have a kit.....how slow do yours flash....enough so that you can clearly see each bulb stay on for a second?? mine seems to be a little fast because the outer one only comes on briefly.......

I mounted my modules behind the light cluster, they are supposed to be weatherproof but I wrapped some of that vulcanizing tape around them to try and seal them up some more. Right now I dont have the wires hooked up to the turn signals so they dont flash when the brake lights come one. I didnt have time when I installed them.
Also I think I took my flasher apart and bent the wire a little but they still flash pretty quickly. I havent driven the car for a while because the brake lights arent working and I am not sure why. I dont think it is the module because the turn signals still work and the 3rd brake light isnt working either. I havent been worried about it as I am going to scrap that car anyway and transfer everything to my 91.
