How much for paint/body work?

I have an 85 white trans am. I want to know about how much it's going to cost to have the body work done on it (there is only one dent on the rear side). And i want to know about how much it will cost to have it painted to a dark blue
Suggestions on any other color paint for this car are welcome. I want it to look good but i also want the paint to last for 6- 8 year or more.

Here are some pics.

Yuo can see white touch up paint on the pic above where i tried to fix the dent.

Ummmm... Did you even try your local paint/body shop for estimates? That'd be where I'd go if I was serious.

Be careful!!!!!

There are soooooo many hacks out there.

Shop around. Ask the painter to see previous work. Find out about their guarantee.

When you find someone, tell them you want to see the bodywork repair before they primer it. If they refuse, go elsewhere.

Make sure they paint door jams, in between seams. Make sure they don't paint your tires, exhaust, wheel wells.

Look around town at nice rides and ask where they got it painted.

You can easily drop $2k for good prep and paint.

To knock some of the cost down, you can do some of the prep work.

If you can remove (and later replace) items that are usually masked off, you'll get a better looking car.

If you want a 2 year paint job, Uh oh, better get Macco.
