im getting my iroc repainted.. same color.. Ultra blue metallic, any opinions on leaving the stripes off... ive seen irocs without stripes (especially the bright red ones) with just IROC-Z decals on the doors and such...

leave them on, they are something that really defines an Iroc from an RS

my vote is to leave them on.. it adds a nice contrast and break to the body lines, give it definition. and the iroc decals too, defines what the car is.. iroc's are definatly a dying breed.. there is less and less of them on the roads now and there will only be fewer as time marches on...

Leave them on. I think it looks a lot better. My dad's 88 Vert is a DX3 car, and it's getting repainted as well but there won't be any stripes, because there shouldn't be.

Leave 'em on. It part of what makes an Iroc. They look good either way, but I prefer the stripes on!
....you could always paint 'em on. That's what I plan to do when it's time for paint. If nothing else other than bragging rights!

is that your car? it looks identical to es87iroc's car. same wheels, color, hood, picture background...or are you just showing us the color you went with.

well, you cant really tell from the pics but the clear is starting to bubble up in some areas, and the back bumper is peeling pretty nasty.. but I guess I will go with the stripes and door decals.. this IS a democracy anyway.. lol majority wins

I would leave them on your car. I have considered putting them on mine, but doubt I will end up doing it. I will probably end up repainting the car again next year or so and I think I might change the look a little.

I wouldnt mind seeing the stripes on, and the letters off? But if its all or nothing, leave them on! I dont have mine on, but when I repaint it, they are going back on. I mean, it is an IROC.

i absolutly hate stripes or pin stripes. they just look cheap and tacky, kind of like you trying to cover up how straight or not straight the car is. There is no reason a good straight car should be "broken up" with strips or anything. The iroc on the door on the other hand should stay.

When I did my ground effects swap, I considered leaving the stripe off as well. I decided to put it back on, and I'm glad I did.
