lol
i knew i left something out of that post......
they are not really sure yet on the price b/c they have never worked on a f-body b/4 so cost so far is still up in the air
they are trying to finish up a few projects they've already got going then once they acutaly get into my car they will be able to go more into a set price for the plug and play kit and for an install
sorry i'm trying not to get any of this wrong
they have given me a round about price for my car
but it will be more or less i wont know the final cost untill they see the car and find all the parts they'll need
i just figured i'd pass on the info b/c i know a lot of us have always talked about the targa's
but ill keep you all

well hopefully you can generate some interest on this board, but I doubt you'll have anyone sign up and commit until you (or at least someone else) becomes the guinea pig and gets it done....but it sounds very interesting....Im wondering how much of a difference it will make whether the car is a t-top or hartop
lol
I have a hard top
first step they said will be to add some real strenth to the body sfc and such but i've already got most of what they were recomending so they are going to order a completly new t-top setup and some convertable weather stripping to play with modify then duplaciate for the kit

Ive got a hardtop myself. I always thought t-tops were cool but never wanted to have them installed on my car. Now a Targa would be nothin less than awsome. I figure if i could get it done for less than say 6-700 installed... I would probably do it (and im not talkin about paint.. just buying it and having it installed).

O and BTW, I would expect it to be much like the ones on the new corvette. MUST BE seethrough.. tinted in a black or dark shade of blue that looks black unless right ontop of it (like the vette

My guess is that would be how much the top alone would cost, let alone cutting/reinforcing the frame and installing it....think about how much GM t-tops cost new
...just to use as any kind of reference here are some vette replacment tops....starting at around 800 new
here

I would do it if it was a metal removeable piece. I', not a big fan of cars that have glass roofs especially black glass roofs. I hated the fourth gen black from the a-pillars mup look too so it might just be me.

I'd be willing to part with up to 2500 for a targa top with a warranty.
