If you guys are interested in a group purchase, let me know. I've been in contact with a manufacturer about having some made, and he seemed fairly receptive to the idea. If there's enough interest, I'll talk with him again. From what I understood from my prior discussions, they'd be somewhere in the range of $50-ish per pair, but these are a full piece that replaces the plastic piece, not a stick on cover.

If it replaces the whole sill, I would be interested. The last time this came up, it was a stupid stick on peice.

I would be in, but it would either have to come blank, or in all the versions of our cars.

What would be cool if they had some lighted ones, where the IROC-Z logo lights up everytime you open the door.
EDIT: I take that back. It would be nicer if the sills were just plain satin finish, with no writing.

It would be sweet if sombody would make them out of Billet kinda like what the sport truck scene has. Actually does anybody Know if the door sills from any truck model year will fit a third gen camaro, maybe with a little Massaging?

I am interested in an aluminum sill plate that held in like the stock ones. 18inchboyd's custom ones are great. If Jim can arrange a group purchase, I am tentantively in.
Could someone easily make a pair of these themselves? From what I can see there are no bends or anything.

It would also be great to have aluminum door sills with smaller cutouts to accommodate 4th gen seat belts. A much cleaner look in my opinion. Just thought I'd throw it out there...

Ok, there seems to be enough interest. Let me contact the guy and see what I can do.
From talking with him in the past, these are a full piece that goes over the entire existing door sill. I'll find out more though.
I don't know about satin, and I doubt I can get them with logos, but I'll check on that too.

I would be down for a set or 2 in plain. I would also rather have them without the cut out part for the seatbelt retractor. I plan on doing away with factory seatbelts.

Thought this was interesting, have any of you ever used these? I thought I would bring it up here to match the sills
I saw them on e-bay and thought it was a bit weird to have aluminum floor mats.

I talked to them this week, and they promised to send me some pictures, but I'm still waiting for them.
It also sounds like they're going to send me a couple of them so that I can evaluate them, and take my own pictures of them installed in the car. Apparently they can offer these in chrome, as well as diamond plate and regular aluminum.
They can also do aluminum and diamond plate floor mats if anybody wants those.
I'm going to call them back early next week and see what the hold up is for getting the pictures to me. I'm also going to try to get the wheels turning for those samples so that I can see what they are.
From what I understand, these don't replace the stock sills, but go over them. Whether or not they stick on or bolt on, I don't know yet, but from the original picture I saw of their diamond plate ones, they looked pretty good.
Perhaps we should start a thread in the group purchase forum, that way we'll have a good spot to keep updates.

I can get one. I never asked him because I didn't expect there to be any interest in them.

Well I thought it was kinda weird to have stiff floor mats and was wondering if anyone had used them before. The ones on e-bay are like $90 shipped but I don't know if I would like them without some reviews.
Thanks
Thanks
