Wheels or go-fast parts? Life's full of tough decisions
Hey guys. I bought a set of 2000 Camaro SS wheels from my freind for an excellent price. They are the chrome 17" ZR1 style...hot. I am having a hard time deciding whether to put them on or not though. I photoshopped a picture for comparison to help me make the call, but I'm still not sure. My choices are:
A. Re-sell the wheels for a decent profit, keep the crosslace wheels on it, and buy some new headers. Cost=nothing & profit
B. Mount the new wheels, buy adapters, buy new tires to for the rims, put the gta wheels in the basement. Cost= about $1100
C. Hang on to the SS wheels because they cost me almost nothing, and maybe put them on later down the road.
So what do you guys think? Is the "wow" factor of the new wheels enough to justify the cost? Thanks in advance for any opinions you can give.

I personally think no wheels look better on white Trans Am's than gold GTA's. Your car is beautiful with the GTA's, keep them on. I'd get the headers!

I'd personally sell 'em and buy headers and exhaust. They ARE good looking wheels, no doubt, but I'm a fan of GO before SHOW.
....plus, stock looking GTAs are Badazz!!!

Gold Crosslaces look so badass on white t/a's... KEEP THEM!
I dont like the ZR1s, at all... they have no dish and the spokes just look goofy to me... ick! Plus youd have to run wheel spaces with them which are not cheap and can look bad.

Keep your goldlace wheels, better looking, and it's the cheaper route. A good sayin in this situation would be "Whatever helps you sleep at Night". Choose whatever you would like in the long run.

Thanks for the help everybody. If I chose either one I will end up sleeping just fine, but I wanted a few other opinions before I drop another $850 in new tires and spacers and the "wow" factor I was hoping for wasn't there. Then I would have managed to spend all that money and still have the stock "log" manifolds
. I'm still deciding, but I'm starting to lean towards go fast parts. I've never been one for show above go, but I always want my toys to look as good as they run!

sell the wheels to a camoro driver. keep the gold diamond spokes. buy headers.
i think nothing looks better on a white GTA then the stock gold wheels. i wish my GTA still had stock wheels.

I won't say there's anything wrong with wheels and hoods etc. for the sake of appearance, I mean do what YOU like, but nowadays, stock and clean is actually more rare!

Yeah...there will be times you forget the new rims, but you'll always love that power when you lay into it.
