Let's see your white third-gen's!
I started out, looking for a yellow gold 3gen Camaro a while back. Somewhere along the way I started looking at white too... next thing I knew I'd found one I really admired. Now it's mine!

Maybe I will need a new screen name now

Here's a picture of my 89 IROC-Z, it was originally white w/ gold stripes on the GFX (probably gold IROC-Z door decal too) and it had the 16" IROC-Z wheels with gold accents. By the time I got the car it had a different hood, and most of the gold accents were gone (car was re-painted), but I had the RPO sheet so I kinda got an idea of what it looked like. This picture was taken after doing a little body work, getting ready to re-paint it again (but not white hehe).

thats me on the right if anyone cares hahaha

It's impossible to tell in those pics, but the paint is a pearlescant white.
You can sort of see it here:

The pearl is awesome. I've given thought to having that done someday to mine. How much extra does the pearl additive cost? I know that prismatic color-shifting paint for example, is incredibly expensive. I'd imagine the pearl is not as costly...

My paint was expensive, but then again, I used good paint. I used Sherwin Williams 3 stage Urethane paint. For basecoat, pearlcoat, clearcoat and all additives, it cost me about $900.

The pics are from when I first got the car...not much has changed other than having gotten the interior refabricked (same color as original). Most of my work has been cleaning up and fixing the engine. :P

Nice cars everyone!
BTW I found an interesting article about car color trends...
http://www.basf.com/corporate/news20..._car_color.htm
Also maybe explains why I found white to look cool on these cars:

White, the ultimate expression of purist style and aesthetic straightforwardness, will become increasingly popular. Sophisticated and unambiguous, white is a color that helps clarify the language of the car’s form.

Here's mine doing what it does best!!! Of course this was probably about 5 years ago, since then it has gotten a nicer 383 and a 4 inch Harwood.
