New 16's worth it?

Like it says i dont like my stock rims at all, pretty beat up and i want a new look, but i just paid 600 bucks for brand new tires! Some 18" chrome irocs would definetly be my favorite but i dont have the money for the rims let alone brand new expensive tires along with that.

What do you guy think about just buying some nice new 16's, worth it or no?

It's not worth it to me, but I didn't just spend $800 on tires either. I'm in need of tires for the IROC, but I'm holding off for that exact reason. As long as I need tires, I might as well do a wheel/tire upgrade.

I just checked out the torq thurst II's, they look pretty sweet. I just dont know if the proportions on the car would look funny seeing nice new rims that look small on the car compared to the tires.

Im trying to attach a pic but its saying invalid attachment?

i say stick with 16". less money in the long run. i went to 17" ss wheels awhile back but went back to stock iroc and gta crosslace on my camaros. heck i am even thinking about going to stock rs 5 spoke, and have the rears widened alittle.

if i had just bought $600 worth of tires for my stock wheels i'd keep those for a while...but that's just me...you think that's alot of money in tires wait till you have 17's or 18's

I have to agree with Blue Zee, I just spent $740 in 275/40ZR17 Toyo Proxes 4 tires. And, that was after looking around a while. Some of the other quotes were between $850-$1000 depending on make!

Factor in bigger wheels (Like 17 +), and the price goes up really fast to upgrade. If I were you, and you'll do what you think is best, I would stay with the ones I have now and then uprade when you need tires again.

Good luck Brother.
