HEADLIGHT COVERS... HELP

Does anyone know why the HELL there are 4 different part numbers for GTS headlight covers for 85-92 Camaro when 85-92 all had the same damn bumper? And yes there are 4 different part numbers all for the smoke lenses. It lists one for 91-92, one for 85-87, one for 88-92 RS, and one for 85-92 the parts numbers are GTO110, GTO155, GTO109, and GTO101... I am open for answers

lol I can understand your frustration, you will find that in several catalogs and sites they list several part numbers for the same damn part. Just order what is for your specific year and model and you can't go wrong. Give them a call to be safe.

82-84 are different than 85-92. I just thought there might be some design difference. For instance, my friend ordered taillight covers for a 92 Z28 his roommate ordered them for a 92 RS. The RS ones wrapped around the taillight to cover part of the license plate light but the Z28 ones stopped at the edge of the taillight.

I just got off the phone with GTS and they said that supposedly there were fitment differences between 85-92. They used doner cars to make the tooling. I still dont understand but, oh well. Here is a list of the part numbers he gave me:

90 Chevrolet CamaroIroc-z - The Mask Universal Headlight Cover Styling Kit
PartNo: 99350

91-99 Chevrolet CamaroZ28 - The Mask Universal Headlight Cover Styling Kit
PartNo: 99350

91-92 Chevrolet CamaroZ28 - Headlight Cover
PartNo: GT0101

82-84 Chevrolet Camaro - Headlight Cover
PartNo: GT0102

85-87 Chevrolet Camaro - Headlight Cover
PartNo: GT0109

90-92 Chevrolet CamaroRS - Headlight Cover
PartNo: GT0155

add "C" for clear and "S" for smoke and "X" for carbon fiber

take a look for urself...

Personally i dont like these that much, they look tacky i dont like how the sides look when on the car. I might consider painting the black clips, cause on my white car it looks bad. Check my thread for pictures on the car...

Going off this subject. Anyone know where I could obtain clear/smoked headlight covers for my '91 Z28? Like does anyone on Ebay sell'em or anything?

I use to get mine from O'reillys for $39.95 but they do not carry GTS anymore. So Now I am searching for part number GTO101C

did you see my picture? Its the same thing. I bet they may have added different decals(mine had GTS on them but i removed it) to them but i am for sure saying that 91-92 RS/Z28 are the same exact front bumper.

then I will search for both part numbers. I have a brand new front end to put on (bumper, spoiler, grille all with fresh paint) but I need to get new headlight covers and my new clear front bumper lights before I put everything on... I want it perfect. Thanks for the info.

Sounds like there's no place to buy these new anymore? that's a shame... I'm not actually a huge fan of the look, but I want them for the aero effect

Re: HEADLIGHT COVERS... HELP

Thread back form the dead - I just bought some smoked GTS off CL front and rear for $50 brand new in the box. The irony is, they bought them from Goodwill for $5 a set. Not sure if we are going to use them or not
