there should be a firebird with what looks like 17" C5 wheels. i think they would look better in 17" than any bigger, but it's your car. where are you going to get 20" C5 wheels? i never saw that before. i have no idea on fitting since i never went above 17", i think that should stay in more experienced hands than in mine

hope this gives you a SMALL idea of what they look like on a 3rd gen!

i was actually referring to the Y2K C5 rims. the ones with the skinny 5 spoke pattern that came and 2000 and newer vettes. they are 18 in the front and 20 in the rear to the best of my knowledge.

you might want to recheck the size for those wheels.. the 2000 vettes are 17 front 18 rears if my memory serves me right (work on them left and right all day) but I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time. if they are the 17/18 setup they should fit, just have to watch the backs b/c of how the rear end is 2" wider.... the offset should fix that though..

They will fit. There is a guy on here with the '98 C5 wheels on his Z28. They look awesome and I'll probably be doing the same. They are 18"/20" so better pay more attention Ben... That's why I'll be buying 4 fronts! I think the other guy said 2.5" spacers would work all the way around, but with a 4th gen rear, you should be able to get away without spacers back there...

Let me know what happens...

sorry, when friends and other people say C5, they mean the style i saw in that pic, and the style your reffering to is commonly known as Y2K vette wheels

anyway...

i never saw a 3rd gen f-body with 20inch wheels on it, and i dont think you'll be able to lower the car much with 20" wheels, i would think there would be rubbing problems. dont take my word for, someone check me

its cool STL......i kinda realized that, which is why i clarified that issue a couple of posts above. i really dont plan on lowering the car that much as i already have a truck that sits roughly 1" off the groungd with the airbags deflated. i will prolly leave the car stock ride height.

thanks for all the help thus far. i appreciate it.

ummmm.....I hope you guys realize that all C5 vettes have 17 inchers up front and 18"ers out back....
it would be very impractical to put 18"s and 20"s on them

if the 20s do fit, you have to post pics because i think the 17s look cool, i cant imagine how mean the 18s and 20s will look!

those rims are 17 x 8.5 in the front and 18 x 9.5 in the back. They would look really good on your car. The new Z06 rims would be real killer but they are like 18 x 10.5 in the back with 295/30/zr18....hope this helps

I've been thinking of putting on the Z06 rims too, and played with photoshop a little. The first is the Z28tt with the ZR1 rims on it (what I have now) and the second is with Z06 rims.

Whadda ya think? Does anyone know whoere to get the Z06 rims, their weights, offset, and price? Thanks!
