Weatherstrip Protection Question

Does anyone have any good experience with a product to protect door, trunk, etc weatherstriping / seals?

Not looking for Armor All for this application.

I have a 1991 TA and am seeing that the seals are currently being discontinued. I would like to find a product that will extend the life of my existing seals.

I was advised by a friend at GM that the service department uses Dupont Krytox product to preserve seals and eliminate squeeking. However, the product is $200 for a 1 lb container.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I use a silicone base rubber protectant I bought at Autozone and it works really well, I don't remember the name though.

The Krytox product was also used by NASA.

What is the aerospace product and how can I get it?

would this work with t-tops ok? how would you apply it, take off the seals, spread the sealant, then apply the t-top seals back on?
