budget 17" wheels

anyone know of some 17" wheels budget priced? i want maybe 17x8, and 17x9 or 9.5.

i was going to go with centerline billet wheels, or something that doesnt look like too much crap. i dont want to spend in the area of $1000 +/- a few hundred for all 4.

help! post pics if you can. what kind of backspcing should i use too? thanks!

Some of the cheapest 17" wheels are the ROH wheels and the ARE TT2s. ~$250 per wheel is the cheapest you're ever going to find. If that's too expensive, you're basically SOL. Don't forget, that 17" tires are a lot more expensive than 15 or 16" too, so if you can't afford the wheels, chances are you won't be able to afford rubber either. Just something to consider before you get in over your head.

17 inches are basically out of the question, dude. You could, however, find some nice 16's for cheap in a summit or Jeg's catalog, or at Sears. Sears has those Z Racing wheels for pretty darn cheap... though they do like kinda *****.

Even 17" take offs from a 4th gen will run you $600 for wheels, $4-500 for tires minimum, and $300 for spacers.

Got to pay to play.

i am willing to spend around 1000$ ONLY ON THE WHEELS. ill spend like 500-600$ on tires, but i dont want to get wheels that are like 700$ each! im just looking for a budget wheel in the neighborhood of $700-$1300 for all 4.

where can i see the wheel lineup and prices for ROH wheels, and let me in on some other rims too

i know summit used to sell centerline 17" wheels for like $193 for a 17x8, and $240 for a 17x9.5, but i dont know if they do anymore. "Billet Sabor" was one of them, they didnt look too bad, but i dont know if they make them anymore.

Those ROH wheels are not that good looking of a wheel.
Check these out.
all for under $850 for 17x9.5.

They are all Eagle Alloys. If there is a Discount Tire in your area that is your best bet. They will match any price. You can check this site but the people there that I have dealt with in the past were *******s.
here is the address at the bottom of the page

If those are not what you are looking for let me know. I can even get you 20"s for 1000
1000 is more then reasonable for some 17s.

You can get a 17" knockoff of the IROC rim for less than $1000 a set.

Those wheels are awful looking! Way too busy!
The ROH's are much more tasteful. IMHO.

You are probably older also. Those ROH wheels just look cheap.
I can appriciate a "GOOD" 5 spoke, but that is just not good looking at all.

he said he was looking at the centerline billets. ROHs are no where near a centerline.
IMHO I think the only way to go is 15x9.5 and 15X4.5 Welds, but just my opinion.

I checked and Salesco actually has the 17" Centerline Billets for right at 1000

I know I'm gonna take some crap for saying this, but I think the best value for some good looking 17x9 five spokes are the ...sorry guys..SVT cobra rims...they're only like $180 a piece and I personally have seen a lot uglier rims. Sorry, mom drives a mudstain.

dallas, i thought about 15s, and i really dont want 15s after doing so much suspension work, i would rather have the stiffer sidewall and look of the 17s, and definately not 4.5" wide wheels in the front if im not drag racing

thanks for the site, i either want the ROH Snypers or the Centerline Billet Sabors. pricing for the snypers anyone?

jza- i got the mail, but if you attached the pics to the email, then i didnt get them because there was no attachment, or download option thing-a-magiggy. or maybe i read it too fast and your going to send them to me... i dont know, just wanted to tell u there was no attachment if there was supposed to be

Hey! I've got Z-Racing rims, and I'll admit, they're not great, but they're not THAT bad (plus, my friend, the prev. owner was the one that put them on)

They're not great pics either...

We've got the new shipment of ROH ZS rims coming in a few weeks (with none left for another few months, argh!). The 17x9.5's with the proper offset for third-gens (on all four corners) is $229 a piece. Here's a picture of the Z28tt with those rims.

87camaroLT- sweet car, i could only see 1 picture of the rear-side on your website (my ghetto computer) but it looked really nice to me. i like those wheels, where did you get them?

akskulte- i like that camaro, how many inches did you lower it? the stance looks killer. im in love with those wheels...

looking at how clean that firebird looks with those wheels make me think twice about my cars. i think i want to sell my 91 RS sometime (not soon) and get a formula firebird, ive always wanted a firebird to go with my 89 iroc, parked next to it.

I have often thought about running some wheel vintuqe or Paulsen wheels 17in ralleys. I love the look of these big ralley's and you can get them for around $140 a peice for all the way up to a 17x11.

I personaly love the ROH ZS wheels, but i think they look ugly if you dony lower your car enough. See the blue camaro above with those wheels? That looks really nice to me, but a car that has 5" wheel gaps with those wheels looks ugly to me. How do u get the little face with sunglasses? if i knew how, i'd put it here.

what backspacing should be on the ROH's for a third gen?

Like I said, Z-Racing rims aren't that bad . That's what they are.... Sears rims. The guy I bought the car from (a close friend) put them on a couple months before he bought a '98 Camaro and sold me the '87. I think he paid a little over $1200 for rims and tires (BFG Radial T/A's 225/60R15) I think they make the car (Well, that, and the big *** 3 1/2" chrome tips out the back) Too bad it's only a 3.4 (now...)

Yeah, everyone thinks that. I hated driving it when I had the 2.8 in there. Pull up to a light, bass thumping, Mudstain pulls up and revs on me... I had to let him go. But once the 3.4 goes in, I might rev back on a couple Everyone I know says that the wheels and tips just make the car look mean, even though it's not Maybe after I blow up this V6 I'll throw a 400 small block in there...
