Ronals or Zr1s

I can't decide if I want to keep my firehawk wheels or go for some 17x11 Zr1s. Wanted to see which ones you guys think would look best on my car. I fit these with no modifications at all front or rear.

you will have to do alot of banging to get the 17x11s on and have them tuck right.

I'm in Kokomo. Thanks for all the replies so far, I was comtemplating a wider footprint because my car will spin these through 2 gears. I might just keep em and run drag radials full time though

NO z06s keep the ronals...forget zr1s EVERYONE has them...RONALS are def not overdone...i have still yet to ever see (in person) a set in my lifetime on any car

if you want a change...highlight the ronal with the same paint code as your car or something like that...z06s with no lips dont look good on our cars and barely look good on 4th gen maros...def avoid them

i dont get it, just because a handful of people on TGO have ZR1's on their 3rd gen means "EVERYONE" has them?

i am yet to see another 3rd gen with ZR1's on it in my state, in person. sure there's people on the internet with them, but that doesn't mean EVERYONE has them. my wheels are super unique where i'm from and that's saying alot because i'm a member of a 300+ fbody club in the St Louis area

another thing, "EVERYONE" has an SS hood, or a cowl hood, so does that mean they are overdone or gay on 3rd gens?

HAHAHHAHAHA yes thats exactly what i said
(but there are thirdgens that i dont personally care for just IMO)

ok so obviously the guys with the zr1s are sore now bc I said they arent that great and many people have used them..."EVERYONE" was an exaggerated unrealistic and overemphasized statement for a reason (*to discourage him from them according to my opinion answering the thread starters question)...take it easy and quit crying its my opinion and that doesnt mean its fact but i have a right to state it just like you do...im simply agreeing with what half of the people already said about the zr1s...they are common! Ronals arent!!! Z06s are!!

oh and btw, yes, when everyone has the same cowl hood or the same SS hood it becomes trendy and played out...it works the same way as everything else does...repetition becomes boring

Polish the Ronal's

If not then go buy some deep dish BMW wheels. Im not a big fan of the ZR1's, not sure why just never seem to catch my eye.

it's not just you, there are others on here who say the same stupid assumption as you did about EVERYONE having a set of ZR1's on their 3rd gen

it just gets really old, i honestly couldnt' care less what you think about the wheels i choose for my car, it's just really annoying when people say the same thing over and over, when i am yet to see another set on a 3rd gen in my state. that's cool if you want to discourage him from the ZR1's, whatever it's your opinion...just dont be dumb about it and make empty statements that have no truth in them

Ya, I found a set of 17's with tires for under $2500 about a week after I bought my ZR1's. Had I not bought the ZR1's I'd be running on those. I just couldn't afford the $830 for the ZR1's and the Fikse so close together.

Keep the ronals but paint the inserts body color. That is how ronals look best in my opinion. They do look pretty plain all silver.

Instead of ZR1's get a set of 4th gen WS6 rims. They look like ZR1's, but don't have the indent in the center.

ditch the ronals for something different. maybe C6 Z06 wheels? Snypers? maybe even something entirley different, like BMW wheels.

like i said in my last post, id go with ZR1's if thats your only two choices.

but by the time you buy knock off ZR1's or used ZR1's plus the cost of spacers(which im not a fan of at all), you could have bought some new billet wheels for not much more if you shop around. plus have the right offest made for you free of charge.

i paid $301 per wheel from newstalgiawheels.com for my boyd coddingtons in 17x9.5 with free shipping too

just a little thought for ya

That wheel style has been around forever. They are neither "bullitt" or "mustang" wheels.

The ronals are a little boring and over priced to me. They look like an american racing 80's leftover.
