hockey stick stripes
I will be painting my car over the next winter and I am debating wether or not to paint a hocket stick stripe on it. I would like to see other third gen camaros with stripes to decide. I taped one on my car just to see how it would look and i took a couple pics, i can have those up later tonight.

it looks good, the only thing i would change is the angle the stripe goes down at toward the front of the nose... it doesnt flow with the body lines, it needs to be more of a 45* angle than a 90* IMO

I love em the way they are..................but if I was gonna get mine painted like that I would widen the stripe near the front also. If you widen the stripe then you have to deal with your side blinker being smaller then the stripe itself.
here is a crappy photoshop.........notice I painted over the blinker cause with the wider stripe it would look like complete ***

What if the leading edge of the stick followed the body line, but the trailing edge went straight down?

Don't every worry about using photoshop again. There is a free program out called gimp that is very similar to photoshop by freelance programmers. I know the name sounds goofy but it is totally free, no pop ups or add on, or spyware.
Here's the link
About.com: http://www.gimp.org/windows/
You will need the GTK + 2 runtime environment, and the actual GIMP program. Pass the word on. I was using photoshop trials doing all my work too. This program will read all you files you made even if you saved them in photoshops default format. I just found the program a few weeks ago and have been trying to tell people about it whenever I see them doing photoshop work.

Re: hockey stick stripes
I think hockey sticks look good on 3rd gens,i really like 'em on white though! So i'm a little biased since i already love white third gens,i'm sick of the heritage stripes i see on 3rds all the time.Nice '82 by the way.

Re: hockey stick stripes
..the 90 degree hockey stripe can be made to look good when done right but doesn't match the front nose, neither would a 45 degree. Someone should look into photo shopping it from the rear instead since its flatter and it'd hug the fenders nicely. Just a thought.
..on a side note I like the way the photoshop'd gray 'maro looks with the red trimming on the wheel wells.
