Dog jumped on car !! What to use to remove fine scratches in clearcoat?

My dog's scared of lightning and jumped on my car in the garage scratching the front/side of the hood. the scratches are in the clearcoat and aren't deep at all.

What should i use to remove this? Im fairly familiar with waxing/polishing but not with rubbing compunds and wet sanding etc. Any info/advice is appreciated.

think you answered your own question, 1600 wet sanding until they come out then buff with some fine cut until the shine comes back, and dont forget the wax at the end

You should probably try just buffing them first. If that doesn't work, then resort to wetsanding. We don't know how deep they are, so It's hard to say...

Toothpaste! colgate total is the one I found to work the best. Just make sure it's a paste not a gel. Then after the toothpaste use either turtle wax scratch remover or Mothers. Hope this helps.

I DO THIS ALL THE TIME, p1500 grit wet sand paper till smooth, than 3M rubing compound with a whool cutting pad, than clean the area with windex and let dry(sometimes the scratches come back after buffing) than you buff with a swirl mark remover with a fine foam pad. Its really easy.
